In a country where the sun is our less than dependable friend, sunless tanning is in high demand. All Kissed by Mii products have a fresh marine scent. The tanning agent is organic DHA, a natural ingredient derived from sugar that safely reacts with amino acids on the skin to develop a beautiful colour. Its designed to nourish the skin whilst your tan develops which helps to prolong your tan. Spray tanning gives a gorgeous, natural looking tan without the inherent dangers of skin damage from the sun that can result from over exposure to UVA/B rays. For those looking to book a spray tan for the first time you may wonder what is involved.

After you decide on half body or full when making your appointment you would then be advised on colour depending on your requirements. The tan reacts depending on the melanin in your skin ie how well you tan naturally in the sun is a factor on selection. At your appointment you will then be asked to stand in our professional booth which incorporates an extractor. The therapist will then spray you with a fine mist. When this is finished you will be asked to wait for a few minutes before you get dressed to allow it to dry. Depending on the solution used you will be told how long to leave your treatment on before showering (bathing not recommended). Then you are good to go. BEFORE YOUR TAN

Exfoliate and moisturise the night before the tan (not on the day of the tan), paying particular attention to the elbows, knees, ankles & problem dry areas.

Paint nails and toenails especially artificial.

Wax/shave at least 24/48hours prior to treatment. This allows the pores time to close, dotting in pores may appear if not adhered to.

Don't apply any deodorant the day of your tan.

AFTER YOUR TAN

If you have opted for the "express tan" the develpment time is 1 hour to 3 hours depending on how dark you desire the tan to be.

If you have opted for the "normal tan" the development time is 8 hours.

Wear dark loose clothing for after your treatment. Tight clothing or underwear may cause marks.

Wear flip-flops or loose fitting shoes are a must. Do not get wet, shower or bathe for the development period, at least 8 hours after having your spray tan.

When washing the tan off just use water, do not use soaps or any loofahs etc.

Do not exercise or swim during the development period.

Pat dry after showering and moisturise every day to maintain the tan and keep your skin hydrated.
